If You Knew Poem by Mystery Boy

If You Knew

Remember when it was all rainbows
When there was not much to care about
Except for how early your bedtime was
And what dress to put on your dolls?
Aside that,
Everything was perfect
When you just wanted to be happy
Make everyone around your buddy.

Now look at yourself now
Being engulfed in sadness
Vulnerable to so much fake friends
Slowly getting attached to lonliness
Crafting smiles
And learning how to pretend.

If only you had learned,
As early as ten
Or even before then,
That life had many bitter candies
And it takes just one dark cloud
To cover up that pretty rainbow.
