Igneous Contours - Poem by Charl JF Cilliers

The poem must erupt from the deep
dark, dazzling bowels
of the earth beyond
magma shells of sleep,
silences, molten shapes
and sounds
congealing into dark, igneous contours
of consonants and vowels.

Topic(s) of this poem: poetic expression
