A toxic poison seeping in
Slowly suffocating all that you hold dear
My presence, a curse, an unforgivable sin
I once was your sunshine, your hope
But now, I bring nothing but despair
My love, a slippery slope
Leading you to a world of care
I'm detrimental to you, my love
A hurricane, destroying all in its path
Leaving you broken, no longer above
My wrath, a never-ending aftermath
I used to be your shelter, your shield
But now, I am your worst enemy
With every touch, every word, I yield
Causing you pain, oh so endlessly
I'm detrimental to you, my darling
A black hole, consuming all your light
Leaving you helpless, constantly snarling
My grip, a force you cannot fight
I once was your saving grace
But now, I am your ultimate demise
My love, a poison you can't erase
A taste, forever imprinted in your eyes
