I'm not ready to stand up now,
Not yet, not today, not anyhow
My bones are tired, my feet are sore,
I need a moment, just a little more.
I've been walking for what seems like miles,
Through stormy weather and rocky piles,
My spirit is willing, but my body is weak,
I long for rest, my heart doth seek.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
To face the world, to take a bow,
My mind is clouded, my thoughts a mess
I need to catch my breath, I must confess.
I've been climbing mountains and crossing seas,
With shattered dreams and broken keys,
My will is strong, but my soul is frail,
I need a moment, to mend and to heal.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
To face the sun, to make a vow,
My eyes are heavy, my vision blurred,
I need a pause, a quiet word.
I've been fighting battles and chasing dreams,
With bruised hearts and shattered seams,
My courage is fierce, but my body is tired,
I need a break, my spirit inspired.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
To face the crowd, to take a bow,
My feet are heavy, my steps unsure,
I need to find my strength, my inner allure.
I've been running races and leaping chasms,
With bleeding wounds and a heart that spasm,
My determination is strong, but my energy wanes,
I need a moment, to rejuvenate and gain.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
To face the world, to make a vow,
My shoulders droop, my head hangs low,
I need a reminder, of the light I know.
I've been searching for answers and chasing dreams,
With trembling hands and tear-filled streams,
My hope is alive, but my body is weary,
I need a pause, my spirit must be cheery.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
To face the unknown, to take a bow,
My thoughts are jumbled, my heart is heavy,
I need a moment, to find my sanctuary.
I've been dancing in the rain and singing in the sun,
With joy in my heart and laughter on the run,
My spirit is willing, but my body needs rest,
I need a break, to give my body its best.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
But soon I will, I'll make a vow,
To face the world, with strength and grace,
For I am strong, I'll find my place.
So let me rest, just a little while,
To gather my strength, to find my smile,
For when I stand up, I'll stand up tall,
With courage and faith, I'll conquer all.
I'm not ready to stand up now,
But soon I will, I'll take a bow,
For I am strong, I'll find my way,
And stand up proud, to face the day.
