Immortalized In My Heart Poem by Marqese Dabbs

Immortalized In My Heart

You are immortalized in my heart
Heightening my senses, what would I give to feel whole
You make me want to Break the shackles of my shut-in mind
I want to be the man that is worthy of your forming life
I know I learned to love
For I would give you the world if I possessed such power
Seeking the call forth of my name
To have such a moment that I wish was an eternity
Completion in a desire to bridge us to one
I pity the other realities of me who never got to know
Your face, your laughter, your essence
My heartache speaks in sorrow
A mirror of my tormenting desire
It dreams of your kiss, so true
Waking moments thinking of you
Sketching the flame that burns for you
Torch it and watch it grow
I know so many want you
But I am the wonder of this crowd
Waiting to undress the downcast of my potential love I have inside
I have no guilt or shame
I would scream this upon the world just so you hear me and understand
Be free with me so I can show it all
You, who is of pearls and gold
Eyes locked in with prideful gliss
We will not part without bliss
I'm only here for you
You are immortalized in my heart
