Imperfect Poem by Kathlyn Grace

Imperfect

Damaged people
they are dangerous
they know they can survive
and they arent afraid of us

They told you to be silent
that you didnt need to speak
not like they cared
what they couldnt hear

You knew you could
never measure up
and you wished you had a dollar
for every mistake you ever made

You wonder why
you can bleed
but a broken heart cant
and it makes no sence

You ask how
they didnt see it
because it wasnt hidden
it was so well seen
you were on your knees

You are imperfect
you cry
you scream
you make mistakes
too big to take back
you are imperfect
you are only human
