Impromptu Poem by Costas Nisiotis

Impromptu

The poem you jotted down in the café
and corrected on the bus
will outlive you even if your soul
fails heaven's entry requirements.
Ink and paper know no metaphysics
nor does the coffee you sipped
while writing these lines.
They are all very much of this world
yet they give you eternal moments.
