In A Little While (1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In A Little While (1)

Some disbelieve the virgin birth
Some doubt Christ died in pain
Some say no man can rise from earth
With Jesus Christ to reign

Yet in a while the truth we’ll see
When sceptics feel the sword
When they who’ve humbly bowed their knee
Claim Jesus’ just reward

In just a while ere time’s at end
When gone has God’s elect
We’ll see on what some fools depend
Who still God’s Lamb reject

Then in a while when time’s no more
When death has come to sin
The truth will open wide a door
For each to walk within

Within a while we’ll see His face
The Judge of flesh and bone
We’ll see them with Salvation’s grace
And those with hearts of stone

We’ll see the truth with open eyes
We’ll drink of life that’s real
But most will have a sad surprise
When then God’s wrath they feel

Within a while will dawn the day
When truth is finally caught
“If I’d believed, ” the fool will say
“In Jesus’ true report”

There is no death at Jesus’ feet
We’ll see in just a while
When we in Christ live life complete
Within our Saviour’s smile…PTO…
