In Between - Poem by Charles Lara

you fill yourself
with life
and you make sure
to enoy it twice
as you jump & flip
and twist the day
with song & dance
you laugh @ time
as youth's awake
& everything is new again
you jump on rainbows
& hump the night away
with serendipous delights
as new orleans spice
fills your belly & your soul
deep deep inside a wooden mirror
