In Eden Poem by Augustine Yirideme

In Eden

Rating: 5.0

Eve had yielded to the serpent's deception
And Adam had succumbed to his wife's suggestion
Both drowning in their own guilt and shame
And burdened by their own nakedness,
That which leaves could not tame.
A voice was heard: 'Adam, Adam, where art thou? ! '
God himself had come down
To Eden, in the cool of that fateful day
Bearing in his hands, love that was meant to save
A couple so sinfully stained
Graciously He provided the remedy:
A covering from an animal, slain and skinned
A symbolism for how He would save Adam's kith and kin,
All of humanity
With a covering of divine mercy.
But there and then it all began.....
In the Garden of Eden.
