Tell me what is it that you've done today,
You will say, ' Nothing', much to my dismay.
If I were to be with you for the rest of the day
After a while, you will tell me to go away.

Yet you spend a lot of time with someone who didn't exist
One who promises you a life of love, care and eternal bliss.
Never seen and never spoken to you either by night or day
Always afraid to speak out fearing what others might say.

To such a fool you commit your life forever
Uncharacteristic of you but I thought you were clever
You do wrong thinking that you were doing right
But in reality you are just piling up your miserable plight

How I wish I could tell you before it was too late
Before I saw you and your fellow mates evaporate
Forever leaving the face of the earth without any trace
Without you, I feel so lonely in this empty place
