In Just Minutes Poem by Miranda Van Yperen

In Just Minutes

The sound of waves
Beat off the rock

In just minutes
My heart will stop

I won’t worry
About lack of breath

My life will be over soon
I smile at death

The water below
Looks so inviting

Although the storm approaching
With thunder and lightening

At least I had fun
And needless to say

I’m glad I met you
Before this day

That water beats hard
Against the rocks on the shore

I jump…
My life is no more
