In Life And Requiem Poem by Henry Love

In Life And Requiem

Take this life
I selflessly bestow
Upon the joy upon the sorrow
For dreams I have none to borrow
And time I have not to spare!
You are just, those who deem
And those that see or those that seem
That life is more than breath
And realms are more than dreams

Dreaming are the fashion
And they hold their own passion
And hope after all is the thing
But if hope has gone before
And journeyed long
In a timely matter passing
And the good days
Have surpassed me
In the forsaken days of Yore
Has life in its favor
Been a mere misadventure?
Then life my friends is the theme
And my thoughts are the thread
Which grasps the seams of
My own dreams.
