In Search Of True Love (A Sonnet) Poem by Eve Brideau

In Search Of True Love (A Sonnet)

(10.24.09 2155H)

Love, oh Love, why are you hiding from me?
I’m tired of looking for you, can’t you see.
I search everyday in the wrong places,
Even in school, within handsome faces.

For some time, I thought my waiting is done
When I saw this man; he may be the one.
But I actually feel, once in a while,
That you’re not in him, my darling’s futile.

That’s when my mind has learned the obvious truth,
Which is not perceived by the blinded youth.
I still have my parents, and cheerful friends
Wherein I feel you, there you wouldn’t end.

Love, oh Love, I have finally found you
In wonderful people, so dear and true.
