In The Dead Of Night

Rating: 3.0

In the dead of night, can you still hear my cry?
In the darkest light, can you still see my lies?
I thought that you, my knight, would see I'm just a shell,
Of the whole and human being that you knew so well.

Even in the cruel sunlight, must you notice all my flaws?
Even on the brightest night, must you ridicule my laws?
I thought that you, my one true love, would tear down all your walls,
For, me, the girl you used to love, the girl you now watch fall.

In the darkest light, on the brightest night,
You're there, no matter what.
My fair, true love,
My enemy from above,
And we met in the dead of night.
