in the dream of my minds eye
life would would be simpler
if the world were united
and there were no imaginary divisions
between nations that restrict
travel immigration or commerce
from being exchanged
as cosmopolitans share Earth's resources
and support once another to last
light years into the future
generations would expand knowledge
in all disciplines because achievements
wouldn't be international competitions
if all humans were united
through technology's potential
rather than inhibiting
what people can view and learn
or instil fear with surveillance
watching every screen we interact with
as a united world
we can battle real eminent threats
such as the green house effect
poverty and hunger
rather than each other
as one humanity can exercise
more love and peace
thereby mastering better ways to resolve conflict
despite religious practices
because morality and ethics
will govern the multitudes
who thrive on educating
old and new populations
that must coexist
on this lonely planet
we inhabit and call home
life would be much simpler
if the brothers and sisters
in this world joined forces
