In the morning's call,
that ecstatic melody emerging,
flows through my veins, fluid and alive—
as if, for the first time,
Eternity whispered: "Be! "
Each sight, each sound, each breath
is a link in the chain of
eternal remembrance,
flowing beyond the pages of time.
This garden, rising from fertile ground,
offers a taste of newfound paradise.
Where once silence reigned,
now rivers dance and play,
and even the wind hums with sacred joy.
I congratulate these bare trees
for resurrection after winter,
and feel a quiet joy that my heartbeat,
reborn after death,
inscribes a new revelation upon their bark.
But love—
this love, whose severed branches
on the burning pyre
turn to ash and dissolve into the air—
it is this love that teaches me
the intoxication of annihilation.
This blazing pyre is my destiny.
By reducing myself to ashes,
I merge with the light
long hidden in the breaths of
the cosmos.
My hands still hold
the gold of melting emeralds.
This is no worldly treasure;
it is the covenant the soul made
in eternity:
"Am I not your Lord? "
And in response,
even today, the cry of "Yes! "
rises from within me.
Stony lanes, silent houses—
deserts of existence.
My heart, a caravan of travelers,
pauses at each turn, wondering:
Is the destination the goal,
or is the path itself the destination?
I reach the pond atop the mound,
the mirror of time's eye.
Upon its surface,
the cosmos has drowned
all its clouds and rays.
An unhewn tree stands by its bank,
like a Kaaba without a prayer niche—
simple, yet mysterious.
Beneath its shade, honeycombs
brim with the sweetness of sacrifice.
Yet the voices of hunger echo still.
These combs are like my heart:
they give, yet are never satiated.
Suddenly,
a speck of a feather drifts into view—
I understand that annihilation is
truly the gateway to permanence.
That which burns is not destroyed;
it becomes light
and merges into the endless river of eternity.
And I, beneath this solitary shadow,
grasp this secret:
All is dust—yet within it
the seed of eternal greenery sleeps.
And from this dust,
eternity whispers once more: "Be."
