Each step before me Lord
I pray that you would takn
That I would walk in the shadow of thee
Ev'n for thine own name's sake
That thou oh Lord be glorified
And I oh Lord be sanctified
That the world would see much less of me
And they would see ever more of thee
I shall seek thee in the morning
Before the rising sun
That I may walk in thy holiness
Before the day's begun
Just like the sun that rises
In the sky above so blue
And like the dew that falls afresh
May I refresh myself in you
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
Your mercies they are new everyday
You shall be found by those who seek
Who seek to walk the narrow way
And when my days come to an end
I will find you even there
In that daily and familiar place
That daily place that we call prayer
