Ink - Poem by Katherine H. Belle

I see the ink in the small of your back
A small piece of forever
On your beautiful body
And I kiss it.
I kiss it gently
Your skin feels warm under
My trembling lips
I can feel the small tremors
That you let out
I hear the small gasps
That escape your parted lips
And I smile
Because I know that in this moment
No one will love you
As deeply
And unconditional
As I do
