Ink Spots Poem by James Mills

Ink Spots

Rating: 4.9

Fox.
Butterfly.
Bow tie.
Meadow.
Butt of Summer glows in dying grass. Derelict nest dressed in moss.

Bear.
Bat.
Animal skin.
Tear.
Sparks on freckled skin. Grin to frown; childhood flies.

Oil Lamp.
Lion.
Fire.
Blue songs and rhythms of ancient grief.
Babies sucking gall from dry breasts.
