Interfaith Hymn 05. Glory Poem by Michael Maxwell Steer

Interfaith Hymn 05. Glory

Glory, glory Halleluya!
Praise be to all the guys in white.
Open hearts sing Halleluya -
Look into the cloudless sky!

Every day I feel like singing
Glory be to those who overcame -
Walked their path and didn't falter
Throu the stormy wind and rain.

Companies of saints and angels
thronging round the throne -
who are only ordinary people
who lived throu troubled times
without being thrown.

Glory, glory Halleluya!
Open up your heart and sing aloud.
Everyone can find a saviour,
One in whom to feel proud.

Deep within our lonely hearts
we long to be in love
with everyone around us
and linked with those
who shed light from above.

Glory, glory Halleluya!
Humans reaching true humanity.
Opened hearts sing Halleluya -
Realise divinity!

That is why it's so exciting,
walking throu this wonderland.
That is why we're so excited
'cos everyone is quite united:
we're walking with the holy
spirit hand in hand.

We can build a better world,
It only takes a lifetime.
Seize the day and build foundations,
there'll never be a better time.

Glory, glory Halleluya!
Praise be to all the guys in white.
Opened hearts sing Halleluya -
Look into the cloudless sky!
