Interfaith Hymn 09. Sing Poem by Michael Maxwell Steer

Interfaith Hymn 09. Sing

I sing what is inwardly sacred:
I sing to my inner life.
I sing to what's joyously open:
I sing to each new insight.

O holy one
who is me, who is s/he, who is you -
O holy one
informing empowering our truth -
Guide our love
to bring us together as one:
Make our love
rewarding enlightening inspiring and fun.

Bring renewal in the rain
and joy in the sun.
I sing to what is mysterious:
to all that signals growth
I follow my calling
wherever it's beckoning;
and trust in the fertile unknown.

I sing what is inwardly sacred:
I sing of my inner life.
I sing of what's joyously open:
I sing of each new insight.

O holy one
who is me, who is s/he, who is you -
O holy one
informing empowering inspiring me
to be free.
