Intimate - Poem by Shelby Barker
Thoughts of you take me
and I am at the sea
Standing and gazing at the
indistinguishable blue horizon and it
is frightening - you take me and I am
encompassed in you and I need not swim,
in deep, and I just
want to sink with my eyes open.
Thoughts of you put me on
the sun, brought in
By waves of caressing flames on black
until I am floating on my back and
my oceans spill out of my pockets.
The hiss sounds like
Background piano, but warmer.
dances and the colors of you and me
Collide and render me speechless,
and when asked about your
love I say it's so pretty
