Into My Eyes Poem by Christopher G. Dion

Into My Eyes

Rating: 3.5

Look into my eyes
for they are the windows to my soul
Like clear and perfect glass
no falsehoods can they hold
Though words may be concocted
their essence may be false
and deeds are often done
by practiced ritual
Yet the eyes can tell no lie
nor turn false message true
They are the innocents of the body
Indeed the hearts true tongue
So if you ever wonder
if my love is true
Just look into my eyes
past both my words and deeds
and see the truth that lies within
that my heart beats sole for thee
