Great scientists, whose brains are planet-size,
who study things on Earth and in the skies,
advise us that reality concealed
a whole lot more than our eyes have revealed.
Dark matter, for a start, how much of that
can Science estimate? A lot in fact -
85 percent of matter's hidden
from the prying eyes of Science - see what's written
in the reams of stuff in learned publications.
I can't believe it's all hallucinations.

Dark Energy - a bigger shock this time,
has meant another shift in paradigm.
Discovering the universe expands
far faster than it should, they raised their hands,
admitting that they simply didn't know
what it is that makes the Cosmos grow.
Some 70 percent of all there is
consists of this dark energy. What gives?
Science grants these mysteries deep thought -
if theory or eyesight is at fault?
