Is Christ Without Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Is Christ Without

Is someone knocking at your door?
Is that a voice out there?
Has Jesus come from evermore?
His love and life to share

If Christ’s refused within our heart
If truth’s denied a place
We’ve drifted from our God apart
And from His state of grace

We need The Lamb’s redemptive powers
We need to seek above
Praying God’s gift of faith be ours
To feel Salvation’s love

Let faith stretch forth its awesome hand
And God His mighty arm
Let Jesus reign as always planned
And shield from further harm

We’ve erred and strayed in wayward lust
Singing our selfish songs
So ere our bodies turn to dust
We need to right our wrongs

At once we need to seek The Light
Bend Christ God’s Son our knee
Quit now against His will to fight
And pray The truth to see

For if The Lord is yet without
If love is not within
Our soul’s condemned and without doubt
Still plagued with deadly sin

Best open God our doors my friend
Raise love upon the throne
Pray Christ our precious soul defend
And melt our heart of stone
