What is it?
Tell me what's ailing you?
What is that little thing
eating away at your soul?
Devouring your thoughts?
Is it me?
Is it something I did?
Your silence devastates me
It makes me feel ignored
Insignificant
Like something that's there
but really isn't
Do you know how it hurts?
To be pushed away
To be shunned
To have once heart slowly ripped
from your chest
Not knowing what to do
Feeling sick with worry
Feeling guilty for nothing?
You say it isn't me
it's you
What does that mean?
Don't you love me any longer?
I pick myself up
trying to be stronger
trying to understand
Why I no longer feel worthy
or the touch of your hand
