Healthy and wealthy are everywhere
Thriving as none before
Yet few show love or lend a care
Beyond their own front door
No thought of Him who gave us life
Who causes faith and trust
Who cures all ills, ends all strife
And turns our foes to dust
Because in life all nature’s free
We shake with doubt our head
So few give thanks or bend their knee
For love or daily bread
Neighbours we see as dreaded foe
And God we treat the same
But still His blessings flow and flow
To glorify His name
Yet wayward eyes fail truth to see
Through hearts as cold as stone
Resources that could easily be
Remain the world unknown
There's no true love in selfish hearts
Nor in a worldly soul
Will mercy be when life departs
Before one's yearned for goal
What value is a single breath
Or prayer to save from ruin
Just ask the sick, those near to death
Singing a different tune
Just ask yourself what’s really true
What life on earth is for
Think of God examine your view
Are still your thoughts so sure
