Islam In France Poem by Lydia Martin

Islam In France

In modes of wonderment
And mystery of folklore;
The sweet hijaz
Of whispered song
Drifts south on
Winds of Al Shamal

An exotic ear
Lost in a sea of condemnation
The muezzin call
From Parisian domes
Lies west of truth and
North of honour.
