It all needs but a moment
To wear a smile on face,
And cheer a gloomy place.
It all needs but a moment
To remove a waylaid boulder
And ease a weary shoulder.
It all needs but a moment
To soothe an aching heart
And happiness impart.
It all needs but a moment
To dry a trickling tear,
And light a face with cheer
It all needs but a moment
To add in manifold measures
Yours and mine immortal treasures.
Let us use then this moment
Ere it's a thing to remember,
Ere we go to slumber.
