It Burns To Shine Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

It Burns To Shine

‎I am proud to be here,
‎I am proud to hear,
‎That it burns to shine,
‎I am proud to see,
‎That it burns but still shines brighter,

‎I am proud if they say,
‎Am one of them,
‎Just to melt and soil myself,
‎But I said sorry to them, but I am proud,
‎As one to burn and still shine,
‎Melt and still be useful,

‎Like the candle, to burn and to shine,
‎Melt to not lose value but to be reshaped,
‎So I told them, let me burn in my struggles today,
‎So tomorrow will let me shine in joy,
‎As it burns, it shines.
