It Rained Here Poem by DASHARATH NAIK

It Rained Here

Standing for half an hour
on my half constructed balcony
I see nature at its best
with its boundless booties
to mesmerize any soul
from the very mundane world here.

The rain of the last evening
relaxes the tired mind and soul
leaving its marks everywhere
ribbon like streams
or puddles at places
have scattered beauty quite rare
like the rainbow hues

While wheeling pigeons in flocks
the cooling air with clear weather
has comforted every zone of life
patches of dust on naked leaves
all washed to make them look greener.

The shining sun is yet to creep
though the clear sky smiles
with gloomy day dreams
the veggy in the kitchen garden
welcomes heartily the wowsome feather.

The chirrup now sounds more lively
trees with tender leaves shaken
pigeons in flock flapping wings
witnessing the grand show
flowery pearls spread fragrance
in the air ever.

With the troubling torrid heat gone
body feels fantabulously refreshed
the earth in a fresher look
shines with a winsome vivacity
and the dullness disappears
life looks brighter and
the baby in me dances mirthfully
oblivious of woes and worries deep within.
