It's A Never-Ending Cycle Poem by Bri Marie Ormsbee

It's A Never-Ending Cycle

Rating: 1.5

I need to breath.
This life it’s killing me.
Almost literally.
I smile at the world, and turn around.
My smile fades, I start to scream.
There’s the real.
Waiting.
Just waiting.
Just out of reach.
It’s a never-ending cycle.
Fake a smile.
Walk alone.
It’ll be all right.
Struggle for security.
Comfort.
Love.
Take a step forward.
Fall on my face.
Breathe.
I need this.
Pain.
It helps.
Breathe.
Don’t let it beat you.
Stand back up.
Wipe my knees.
I can do this.
I need to be able to do this.
It’s a never-ending cycle.
Fake a smile.
Walk alone.
Close my eyes.
It’ll be all right.
