It Shouldn't Be Too Late To Understand Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

It Shouldn't Be Too Late To Understand

It Shouldn'tBe Too Late To understand
It was too late when I understood
The real meaning of life.
It was too late when I realised
Health is precious than wealth.
When I was not conscious of mortality
I never attempted to add value to life.
Never hesitated to hurt feelings of others.
But, when I perceived the bitter reality
It turned too late for rectification.
Every knock at door, reminded me
Time of ultimate departure for me.
So many things are still left to be done
But I have no time for none of them.
I don't know Where ego inside me
Has fled away so far from me.
Even my own shadow isn't ready
To accompany my last journey.
Indeed, it is too late to understand
The relationship of life with death.
The breath I breathe is so precious
The water that I drink is no doubt nectar
The Sun ray, indeed is source of life.
But I never tried to perceive value of them.
