It Was The Day, That Fell Apart Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

It Was The Day, That Fell Apart

It was the day that fell apart. My world was broken when I woke up from my sleep, don’t you see that I need my sleep.

So I walked over to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee.
I had to have my caffeine, in my system (system)

Don’t you see the bird in the sky?
It was big and black, big enough to break my window.

So it was the day that fell apart. When I walk, these streets they always give me memories.

I did not know, that it was the street that I grew up on.
All these emotions I feel, feels like a river going through my veins.
