Its All Behind Poem by Savannah Lewis

Acquired taste for surreal
Seeing a face all too real
Caught a glimpse from the past
Forgetting the hurt of a love not to last
Captured the heart of a passing stranger
Noticed the ghost of a love in danger
Wanted to know in the heart
But all it did was fall apart
Lasting a moment the color did fade
All that was left is the darkness of jade
Forgiving the man who hurt me so bad
Was harder than keeping up with a fad
Discussed past lies he told me no truth
He said no you have no proof
Done with that lie dont want anymore
He hurt me right down to my core
Closed my eyes trying to find
The pain that was hidden way deep down inside
Open my eyes they're filled with tears
Pain has been suppressed for years
The light pours deep into my soul
Drowning the lies that made me a fool
Colors are lit for all to see
That one day true love might find me
Until that day i sit here at home
Wondering will i ever not be alone
