J.D.C. - Poem by Elizabeth Walker

Oh sweet young thing I’ve been around long enough to know you’re a dream
Out of reach but in my mind I gave up searching now you I find
Every word is so sincere you always know what I need to hear
Yet I find I need you just as much when I was crying I felt your touch
And I know you don’t think that you could qualify but everything about you makes my heart sigh
In ways I didn’t know that there could ever be such a new emotion comes rushing over me
