Jacob's Place Poem by Febe Ann Potts

Jacob's Place

Jacob's place was for the boys
To rebuild - restore their tears - their joys
Guidance was given in order to teach
The lessons they would need to reach.

Lessons learned from hardships
Lessons learned from pain
Working with those with confidence
Will lead them out of the rain.

A way to lead them back
To where they were meant to be
Young men of strength and courage
Who were meant to be set free.

Out of the dreary nights
Into the bright lights
To where they can work to give
Back to the road of freedom to live.
