Jonathan Poem by Andreas Classen

Jonathan

A red and blue tent on a green meadow,
The luring gypsy becons you in fiery eyed.
The deck has been shuffled and cut for you.
Turn the top card if you dare to see
Or stumble on blindly cradeled in dimwit ignorance.
So you choose to catch a glimpse of the undiscovered land.

The crowd howls out your name in the arena of pleasure.
You'll score most - steel balls in spike gloved fist.
Jonathan jumps first.

Charly stole the handle,
Charly don't surf.

Jump to your death to save your brother's life.
He tames the dragon to feed it to the worm -
Only in death he gives the water of life.
Jonathan slays the dragon.

With paralyzed legs you'll never walk alone.
Coach says: That boy gave a hundred percent. What spirit, what a man!

Charly will carry you to kingdom come.
You'll never jump alone.
