Journal Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Journal

Pages you write on your journal
are your only escape and release.
I’ve written you thirty three poems
but my heart wishes to sing.

I’m the product of failure
but will you still let me in?
Alone as you walk in these crowds
you think nobody sees you.

You can’t help but wonder
if someone would come up to understand.
Let me inside your hesitating door
I’ll keep you warm, we’ll find you.

You don’t have to know I’m here.

Just let me stay next to you.
