Journey Poem by Pradip Saikia

Journey

From a floating station
Your journey commences

Don't doze off
Your future is embedded in the sapphire

Sip in the bowl of gajal
The open window licked by the eyelids

Ask
The running broken statue
And
The trees made of terracotta
How far is Kalimpong

An illusive train
Crawling along the circumference to draw a circle

Kalimpong is gliding closer

The Jaisalmer of night is gliding closer
Where
The camel caravan falls asleep
