Julie Ann Poem by J. R. Ryan

Julie Ann

Rating: 5.0

Once so long ago and bound for earthen gold
I set out for the North, so to find my Julie Ann.

With dreams a dreamer dreams
And with nothing up my sleeve
I set out for to find, so to find my Julie Ann.

With a giddy, foolish heart
And a twinkle in my eye
I set out for to find, so to find my Julie Ann.

And with my gift so came my vice
And with my two twinkling eyes
I set out for to find, so to find my Julie Ann.

And not too soon at all
In the North, just after fall
I came to know my one true love
My loving Julie Ann.

And after this came vow and kiss
And a 'Big Oak' witnessed this
I finally came to know, came to know my Julie Ann.

And one day when I lay
Down beside with steady hand
I shall know all that I can
Of my loving Julie Ann.
