In a sleek black dress, she stood
A beauty beyond compare, understood
But tears streamed down her face
As she mourned a love, gone without grace
She was meant to be in white
A bride, glowing in the moonlight
But fate had a cruel twist
As her soulmate was suddenly missed
Bloodshot eyes, from endless weeping
Her heart shattered, no longer beating
A sudden death, snatched away
Leaving her alone, in disarray
She had dreamed of a happily ever after
But now her dreams were nothing but a blur
Her love, taken away in a split second
Leaving her to mourn, forever beckoned
Just a dream, that's all it was
A cruel illusion, that tore her heart apart
As she dressed in black, instead of white
Grieving for her love, in the dead of night
Her black dress, a symbol of mourning
For the love that now lay in a final resting
But in her heart, she'll always hold tight
The love that ended, in just one night
Just a dream, that's all it was
A cruel twist, that left her in tears
But her love, will forever live on
In her memories, and in her soul's dawn.
