Just Another Story Poem by Zoe Guillory

Just Another Story

But as the story grew, the stack of paper
gathered more dust. Ideas jumped
from page to page like an adventure
through a jungle. A new character
came along. She was original. Charismatic.

It was too difficult to keep any secret
from the eager eyes of a reader.
With all her secrets in black and white,
she roamed the pages alone. And each word
that whizzed by was more foreign than the last.
