Just Like A Spark Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Just Like A Spark

“How can we come to understand?
To learn; that Christ is real
Believe, He’ll heal, man’s wayward land?
And give His Holy Seal?

Believe! He died, on Calvary hill?
There nailed upon a tree?
How to accept as Heaven’s will?
He’d rise for all to see

How can we know, that this is true?
That Christ makes quick and whole?
Believe He’ll save a child like you?
And cleanse my sinful soul?

How do we know we’re in the dark?
How is one of the night?
You say God comes just like a spark
And dwell inside as Light

You say, of self; this can’t be done
Many; in vain, have tried
But through The Power of God’s true Son
Who comes to dwell inside”

“It sounds far fetched, I know too well
But friend, when sinners die
They’ll wake up, in flames of hell
And not with God on high

These words to you, my friend are true
Believe in what they say
For Christ will do the same for you
If you but ask today

The place is right, the time is now!
Salvation’s arms are wide
In faith, you only need to bow
And God! ! Will come inside” .
