By the edge of the sea, beneath a moonlit sky,
Your lips found mine, and time passed by.
The waves kept whispering along the shore,
But in that moment, I needed nothing more.
Your hands held me close, the world disappeared,
No words were spoken, yet everything was clear.
That kiss was slow, that kiss was deep,
A memory my heart still wants to keep.
The ocean was moving, the night breeze was sweet,
But nothing compared to the way we did meet.
One kiss so tender, one kiss so right,
Still burning softly in my memory tonight.
Now you're only a memory, somewhere in my mind,
A beautiful moment that time left behind.
I don't need to have you to know what was true—
For one perfect kiss still brings me back to you.
Sometimes I close my eyes and return to that place,
Feel the sea breeze, remember your embrace.
And though that night has long slipped away,
My lips still remember what words cannot say.
It was only a kiss… or maybe much more,
A moment that still lives on the shore.
And whenever the waves come kissing the sand,
I remember the warmth of your hand.
Some memories fade…
But some kisses never do.
