Just Some Mushy Shit - Poem by C.R. Ebowski

I call just to hear the sound of
Sweet nothingness whispered
With your laugh
Slide your fingers across my cheek
Sparking electricity
Between strokes
Muscles twitch just by thought
Of the inevitable embrace
Longed for
Reality smashes my heart
Knowing the consequences
Of missteps
With that thought I return
To a world chilled by loneliness
Without you
Every deep breath is hopeful
That one day our unknown love
Will reign
