I’ve asked God to bolster my resolve
So I may teach the lost to be freed.
To lead my way to their hearts and souls
And share how by faith we succeed.

I’ve watched too many by day or night
Repeat their deeds of selfishness and sin.
When we suffer from wrong and wait too long
We fail to transform and begin again.

I’m a victim of mistake both past and present
Though God’s forgiveness and wisdom I feel.
I’ve sinned so much it’s hard to believe
How His love can justify, reveal and heal.
