Kayoed - Poem by Charlie Milles

We are all islands
In a sea of solipsism;
An ocean occludent.

Some of us are rising,
While others are sinking.
Some of us are growing,
Still others are shrinking.

Some have beaches,
Made of gravel and grit.
Others have beaches,
Made of shingles and shit.

Some are genial
While others are cold.
Some are abundant
Where secrets are told.

My shores are shattered
Fragmented and scattered.
It was a ******* lie
And you know it.
