Keats Lines... Poem by Praveen Thach

Keats Lines...

Keats Lines... to help remember Keats favourite lines.

Come hither love, wrote Keats
And went to another shore.
Did he take his Grecian urn?
We'll never know
Because beauty is the only
Truth we ever needed to know.

Like an immortal Nightingale
His words still have wings,
Which will never die.
Those words asks of us,
If we are dreaming or awake.

If found dreaming,
Let it be under a Bright star,
Like nature's patient
Awake forever in sweet unrest.

There is no better dream
Than that of a Beautiful Woman,
saying I love you, truly.

Why wake from this beautiful dream
Only to stand alone in this wide world.

And find Conscience burrow through like mole,
To test our strength against our Fears.

But wake we must in Autumn,
Lest we miss a close bosom friend of the maturing sun,
Its not in every season,
We find a red breasted bird singing in our garden.

She came in search of Joy’s grape,
His soul shall taste the sadness of her might.
Only she could sing a song,
Without Wine, women or snuff.

These were words as sung by a red-breast,
So that we may remember Keats as she does.
Maybe He's still dreaming in another world.
Keats knew we are all merely
Delivered from womb to womb.
So dont cry
But follow his way.
Keats left us for another shore...
